Leaving from San Martín de los Andes, take the 7-Lake Road and turn left into Provincial Route 63 at 26th kilometer marker.
After 5km, you will find the source of the lake, where the residential area begins. This zone lies within the jurisdiction of national parks. If you border the lake, you will also border the residential zones.
After 4km more, you will get to the peninsula, which is an excellent alternative to spend the day and enjoy sunshine and the beach. Here, lovers of windsurfing can find an ideal spot.
Follow the road and you will arrive in Villa Meliquina at the end of the lake. This is a commercial and residential area nestled in the valley, surrounded by mountains.

Leaving from Bariloche, you can access Villa Meliquina through Villa La Angostura and continue along the 7-Lake road up to the Provincial Road or access destination through Confluencia – Córdoba Pass, where you can enjoy spectacular sceneries, and then follow the same route as the one mentioned above from San Martin de Los Andes.

Through Córdoba Pass, you will leave from Bariloche along National Route 22 up to Confluencia. After crossing the bridge over the Traful River, turn left into Provincial Route 63 (made of rubble), which crosses Córdoba Pass. If you follow this road, you will enjoy unique views.

Before reaching lake Meliquina, you will find the Caleufu River, an incredible course of melted water winding among the rocks.
